Some links on EvacPrep are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, EvacPrep may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
As an Amazon Associate, EvacPrep earns from qualifying purchases.
How we choose what to list
- We list gear because of what it does in an emergency, explained in plain words. Commissions don't decide what goes on the list.
- We don't show prices or star ratings. They change daily, and stale numbers mislead people.
- We only list gear that fits our safety advice. For example, we never suggest running a generator indoors, and generator listings point to carbon monoxide alarms and our generator safety guide.
- We count clicks on gear links so we know which items are useful. We record the item and the page it was clicked from. We don't record who clicked: no IP address, no cookies.
Sponsors
- Some pages have one ad spot, always labeled "Sponsored". Advertisers pay us directly; there are no ad networks, tracking scripts or pop-ups.
- Ads never appear inside a warning, an alert or a safety box, and they don't change what our guides recommend.
- We count how many times each ad is seen and clicked, so we can report totals to the advertiser. We don't record who saw or clicked it.
- We don't accept ads for firearms, ammunition or gun accessories. Gun safes and gun locks are welcome. Our own guides give no weapons advice.
- We don't accept political ads, fear-based offers, or products that conflict with our safety advice. Advertise with us.
